Howrse foal games from April 2011

UPDATE: Following the changes made by Howrse in July 2012, these foal games will no longer work. See the ALL NEW foal games here.

These foal games have been devised since the major changes by Howrse in April 2011. With the removal of the saltstone, the removal of the two-carrot bonus and the increase in gains from the 'double lesson' the whole way foals are trained has changed. So it's great news that StaciMM has come up with these foal games to allow for these changes. So a big thanks to her, and here is her guide. We've tested it and it works perfectly:

This will work for any size horse/pony and should NOT result in a seriously overweight/unhealthy horse.
Board your foal in a centre with carrots & clean, fertile meadows, and make sure morale is 100% when you put the foal to bed at 6 months old.

Put your horse to bed in the meadow each night. If the temperature is under 10C put your horse to bed in the box.

NOTE: Your horse will now need a companion to be able to do these games.

8 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/7 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

10 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/1 Hr Games/1.5 Hrs Pasture/7 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

12 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/8 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

1 year 2 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/9 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water/Feed **Feed 2-3 pounds less than it recommends**

1 year 4 months
Groom/30 Minutes Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

1 year 6 months
Groom/30 Minutes Pasture/2 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 14 Pounds/10 Hrs Games/1 Hr Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

At most ages you are feeding a little less than recommended so as to get ready to overfeed at 18 mos. You MUST feed 14 pounds at 18 months to be able to put your horse to bed with 20% energy. Do not feed more than 4 pounds on each day when it says to feed just 4 pounds. The horse is eating a little in the pasture, and will be at a good/healthy weight when games are done. A pony (or small horse) may need to be underfed slightly at 20 months. So good luck with your foal games. As long as you follow these instructions carefully, you will be rewarded with a perfect 1.2 GP gain on your horse.

  2. Are there any new training guides out yet?

  3. All I can say it didn't work for my foal, it got killed! I have restarted my game as I want to do it a different way!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'll try and post some new training guides as soon as possible. I'm still experimenting with what works best at the moment!

  5. I'm sorry to hear that your foal got killed.

This method has worked fine for both me and Patsy on many foals so far.

If you play these games in the winter you do need to be careful and make sure that the EC's pastures have good cleanliness and fertility and that you put your foal to bed in the box each night, not the meadow.

Make sure you keep an eye on your foals health and morale throughout the games. If they drop below 90% you must stop and ensure you make your foal better before continuing.

  6. Does this method work for shetlands aswell? Whenever I do the first part of games on my 2 foals (1 sheltie UNI and 1 PSH UNI) It can't play 7hr games because it takes away -99.5% of the foals energy and my two foals (Even while being perfectly happy, good energy, good EC etc) only have 97% energy at that point so I can't Play for 7hrs... Is it because they are uni's?

    ReplyDelete
  7. worked perfectly for my Fjord unicorn, thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Works perfectly for me. So far I've used it on a Hackney uni and a foundie Fjord uni. Got the full 1.2 gain. I will use this method from now on.
Thank you so much for sharing :D

  9. It should work for all breeds. If you're having trouble on the first day you need to check that the EC you're in has 100% fertile and clean fields.

It may also help to wait until Spring with the smaaller breeds as your foal will get more food from the pasture.

  10. Okay Thanks :D I had just realised I was playing games with them while it was winter XD Silly me! Anyway - It's working well now - Thanks!

  11. Works wonders with Akhal-Teke. Although there was a little bit of a conversion to the metric system.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks for this gp gain!! It really helped me get that objective done with the 2 foals getting a 1.2 gp. This works a lot better than the older version.

  13. at 8 and 10 months I could not train my filly for 7 hours as it took to much energy it was a Quarter horse other than that it is pretty good

    ReplyDelete
  14. I can't wait to use this on my foal that my mare, Cinnamon Apple (Cinnie) is waiting on! I'll write back as soon as I've tried these methods! I'm Jaysea on Howrse. I don't accept friend requests but a congrats would be nice! :) I'll congratulate you if you congratulate me.

  15. this worked amazingly for my arab!!! (now on 1034.65 skills after training :))

    ReplyDelete
  16. It worked well on Beauty of Time, I just had to feed her 1 extra pound of feed so she would have enough energy to continue. (8 mos.) But it went perfect after that! Amazing. Would this work for training, only adjusting the amount of feed and length of training? If possible I'd like to help with guides, because I love the challenge, and my horses would probably need it. I can't wait because I'm trying to breed the best Irish Hunters around. So far, I'm doing good! I'm only starting the actual breeding part, so I'll need some help. Some ideas:
    ~Riding Guide
    ~Training Guide
    ~Foaling Guide for Mares
    ~Elderly Horse Guide (Beaches Available)
I know it'll take a while to make all of these, but if I can I'll try to get around the security system on howrse and create an extra account to experiment. A couple of tips and pointers and I should be able to get some pretty good guides for you! You can test them out and adjust them, but I'll try my best. I've picked up on a couple of things, but any more help would be nice:)
Plz PM me if you would like to get to know e better:D I'm willing to help any Howrse member, but I do not accept friend requests, sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I thought someone from here congratulated me! ;D I hope we can be "Pen Pals". Seeing as I don't accept friend requests I have invented "Pen Pals" (sorry if it already exists in the Howrse world!) where I am "friends" with that person but they are not in my Friends List. I only a friends with people I know in real life. I congratulated you back smokeypony3, and I'll PM you ASAP.

  18. These worked amazing for my Unicorn, and he is now one of the highest in the game. Thanks for posting!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I could not play with my horse for 7 hours it took 105% energy. Does that have something to do with the EC im in? It has 100% cleanliness 100% space and 99% firtility I dont think you can get pastures better than that. Is there some thing im missing? I followed the directions excatly. It is in the fall but I always put her to bed in the box. It worked great with my other horse. THANKS!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ahhh thanks sooo much!!!!
I have trying to get this right for two weeks!!!

  22. What about winter foal games?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Winter foal games are the same these days - just put your horse to bed in the box instead of the meadows at night.

You will need to be careful with the EC you are in though - if the meadows aren't 100% fertile, in the winter some of the smaller breeds aren't getting enough energy to do all their games.

So it's safest to wait until Spring/Summer to play with your foal unless you've tried and tested this method with your particular breed.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  24. I did the exact same thing with both my foals and one ended up with 20% engry and the other had 13% so now im stuffed and i wont be able to train that foal!

    ReplyDelete
  25. This really works :O !! Tryed it on one of my Uni rejects to test and she now has a perfect 1.2GP gain :) Great Guide, Infact the only one Iv tryed that effectivly works :D Thank You !! Definatly using this guide for the future :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Worked perfectly! Thank you so much!!! :D I will use this on all of my horses!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ths is really helping on my game! Thank you so much!

    ReplyDelete
  28. ok, tried this one over and over and a different one over and over, they dont work for my akhal tekes, the energy wont let me play as much games as it says i need to and i follow this routine exactly...help!
    Im Breannabear on howrse

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Breannabear,

Have your checked your EC's fields? They must be 100% fertile and 100% clean for this method to work. Also make sure you're doing games in Spring or Summer as sometimes people are finding their horses aren't getting enough energy from the pasture.

Make sure you put your foal to bed the day before you start the games with 100% morale.

If they're still not working then try and get a box with a shower in as this 10% energy on all of your actions.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  30. Actually, I've just had another thought Breannabear.

If you're using it with Akhal Tekes, are you playing on the UK game? If so you need to make sure you convert the food properly as well. 1 pound of forage is about 0.5kg on the UK game.

I like these games a lot

    ReplyDelete
  35. You should absolutely use a companion on your foal now, otherwise you can't play games with them.

Glad everyone is liking these games!

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am doing this with a trakehener. It said he cosumed 1.1 pounds. is This alright?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Works like a charm, even in Winter temperatures (ie putting your foal in a box instead of the meadow)!

    ReplyDelete
  38. You should be fine using this method with a Trakehner as they are one of the larger breeds of horses.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  39. actullay, a problem come.. i did everthing that it said: carrots, 100% clean, And 99% feritly and he almost died and several times he didnt have enough energy! But he got a 1.02 though XD

    pruttypony

    ReplyDelete
  40. Huh. At 1 year 4 months, even after following all the instructions, my filly, Pi, woke up with a low amount of energy, and I can't do the 10 hours of games. I have to restart all over again with another filly :(

    ReplyDelete
  41. Never mind, I just didn't notice the turnip, silly me! Pi is still destined for greatness :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I am doing this with a Trakehner as well. It has worked so far, and we are currently at 14months. Does anyone have a training schedule for Trakehners or one that would work for a Trakehner mare? I have really slacked off in the blupping of my other horses! Most are less than 10 years old, but I plan to blup them all this summer. I really want to blup my Trakehner in a few days, so please send any advice or guides to linusnlucy!

    ReplyDelete
  43. pruttypony did you check the temperature was over 10C? If it's colder than that you need to put them to bed in the box or the method won't work.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  44. linusnlucy - Trakehner's top 3 skills are gallop, jump and stamina so just as a quick idea I'd train in dressage, jumping and speed, then do your XC and gallop races, train in stamina, train in gallop and then do your long gallop and steep slope rides.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  45. Works perfectly every time, thanks a lot! :]

    ReplyDelete
  46. With my Trakehner I only got a gain of 1.19 and not 1.20 is that only me or the new breed that messed it up?

    ReplyDelete
  47. The foal games do work for every breed, so it could be a little mistake on your part. Just be sure to follow the instructions carefully and monitor your horse as you progress

Stick with it and I'm sure you'll be fine next time. Good luck,

    Patsy

    ReplyDelete
  48. At 1 year 6 months the horse will have to be bedded after 2200 which results in low morale the folowing day. Does morale affect the amount of skill gain by the horse? If so,then what must be done?

    ReplyDelete
  49. thanks, very helpful (:

    ReplyDelete
  50. This works perfectly for my herd of Canadian horses, even in the winter. Thanks so much!^-^

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thank you! I needed to do this for the objective. I messed up a little at 1 year 2 months by feeding at the time of 1 year but it still worked. Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Low morale does not affect skill gain. It just means that per hour of training your horse uses more energy. Low health however does affect skill gain so you should never train until they have 100% health.

The day after these games the best thing to do is put your horse in the meadow, groom, water and feed until your horse's morale and energy are back to normal.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  53. At 18 mo. I ended up bedding him at 24:00. Did I mess up or is this supposed to happen?

    ReplyDelete
  54. That's correct happylilmonster.

It doesn't matter that they go to bed late as it's their last day of games. Make sure your horses health is 100% before you begin training though.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  55. well, this didn't work for my arab:(
it says 10 hours , but it had enough energy only for 9..

    ReplyDelete
  56. i only got 1.17 gp i think its because my horse didnt have enough energy to do 10 hours on 1year 4 months. i could only do 7. Why is this?

    ReplyDelete
  57. As we've said before, this method works 100% of the time if you follow all the instructions carefully.

If you find your horse not having enough energy at the end of a day then something has gone wrong. It may be your EC - fields must be 100% clean and fertile. It may be the weather - it needs to be over 10C if you put your horse to bed in the meadow. Or you may have just misread something - note that it changes to 1/2 an hour in the meadow at 1 year 4 months.

I can only do my best to try and help you on here. This method has worked for me and others hundreds of times. Give it a go on another foal and see if you can figure out what happened.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  58. does this work with foundation horses?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yes, it works for all horses.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  60. it doesnt work at all i have tried 2 times and it doesnt work

    ReplyDelete
  61. It didn't work for me on my quarter horse or Friesian at 8 months, I could only do 6 hours of games, not 7. (it required over 100% energy) Does the cleanliness or fertility of the meadow make a difference? It's working fine on my Lusitano. Or what about the kind of companion? My QH has a sparrow, the Friesian has a giraffe, and the Lusitano has dog. I'll try it on my Paints and Gypsy Vanner when I get a chance

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh wait, I think I just figured it out ;) my QH ad Friesian have about 70% morale, and the Lusitano has nearly 100%!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Worked great for me (: On one of the days, he didn't have enough energy to do 7 hours, but the next day he had enough energy to do an extra half hour. So besides that they went smooth as silk (: Thank you so much!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Umm, quick question: how do you know for sure if your horse got the full genetic bonus? Like, where do you go to look?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm going to give it a go with my new foal. ;)

    AussieMyst on Howrse. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm on my second try - but having trouble getting morale to 100% by the end of 6 months. Advice?

    pixelbgood on Howrse.

    ReplyDelete
  67. pixelbgood - once you've put them in an EC (with 100% clean and fertile meadows) put them out in the meadow as much as possible. This is great for their morale. You can put them out until they've eaten all the fodder they need.

If you still can't quite make it to 100% ask your friends if they'd be kind enough to give your foal some apples.

    Lucy

    ReplyDelete
  68. Yay! I got it! Thanks!

    pixelbgood

    ReplyDelete
  69. Got a second one!! Had to wait till winter for my meadows to be 100% on all values. This is SOOO helpful! My objective is complete *FINALLY* and I'm going to use this all the time now.

    Many many thanks!

    pixelbgood

    ReplyDelete
  70. Didn't work for me. I couldn't do that amount of games that you said because my foal didn't have enough energy :(

    ReplyDelete
  71. hmmm somehow this only gave me a 1.18 gain. So close yet so far :(

    ReplyDelete
  72. It worked for me perfectly, but I am a little disappointed that it goes until midnight the last day. I have another foal game schedule I used to use that works as well, but was overfeeding my shetties so they got too fat to contine. I like this one, because it doesn't overfeed, but I am a little disappointed in the fact that the next "day" or two months or whatever, and until you get the morale back up, you really can't do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I cant find an ec! Can someone help!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I agree, I am also disappointed that it goes until midnight the last day, too. But it worked really well! Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks who ever posted this! But how do i know i have done it right?

    ReplyDelete
  76. This doesn't work on sheties as well, or you need to slightly switch it up. I had to miss the first 9 hours, and I mad up the lost hour later. This worked amazing on my 2nd generation foal. I got her to a full ten gp, instead the inborn's would've been at 359 :) Thank you I will be using this in breeding so I can get a complete 10 jump every generation

  79. This didnt work for me! it only had enough engerjy for a couple of hours!!! now im stuffed :( i will try again and post when i have done! PS: Which is the best companion to train with?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Anonymous, the morale wasn't high enough, which means that the playing will take more energy than usual. The morale should ALWAYS be 98%-100% when playing.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It didn't work on my shetland and i really dont know why :(

    ReplyDelete
  82. Has worked wonderfully on my Connemaras and my Ultimate Crossbreeds. All of them (when I do it right) receive 1.2 gain and are completely healthy when it's done.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Worked! Yay! Friend me on howrse, my name is JayDawg

    ReplyDelete
  84. I Cant wait to try this! ive tried sooo many schedules but they never worked and this objective has been on my list for months! so i cant wait to see if it works :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. It usually works great on my horses, but I have had a few Connemara's that were underweight at 1yr 6mos. So I just gave them 21 lbs instead of the 14, and they were fine.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I followed this exactly with 4 foals and it didn't work with any of them. I would end up with 19% of energy in one instead of 20% and it would ruin the whole thing.

    ReplyDelete
  87. it really didn't work with my foals i tried it with 6 different foals but it just didn't work

    ReplyDelete
  88. first time i tried it didnt work, then i figured out it was cuz i didnt start out with full morale. but it works perfect if you do everything exactly like it says. i finally got over the obj 67. so thanks a million!! :D
    by chloe748 on howrse:)

    ReplyDelete
  89. When you say feed your foal four pounds, do you mean 0.5kg (because thats as close to 0.4kg as there is), or do you mean 4kg?
And does the foal have to have 100% morale to start with for these to work?
Also, (haha, sorry for all the questions), when it does play with your foal for 7 hours, this will take away over 94% of energy, leaving me with only 6%. Will this increase to over 20% with the carrot, stroke and water etc? Or do I have to put my horse to bed with under 20% energy?

Thanks for putting these out there though, great help!
    EP2504 on howrse

    ReplyDelete
  90. By 4 pounds (and any other feeds stated) we mean 4 pounds - feed is given in pounds on the international version. This equates to 2kg for you - make sure you translate the others correctly or your foal might end up the wrong weight!

The foal has to have 100% morale at the end of the day BEFORE you commence games or they will not work correctly - as stated at the top of the page.

And to your final question - yes that's the point of the stroke, carrot and water afterwards - if you follow the method, it will work!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I couldn't do the last step because my horse was too skinny, and had lost heaps of engey.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I am pleased with the fact that My Second gen foals, are now getting 360.00 gp, before foal games

    TheHuntress

    ReplyDelete
  93. So I followed this with two foals of mine and it didn't work either time probably because I had to mix the order one time on each foal. I had to water them before I could play with them because they were 1 or 0.2 below what would take for them to play for the selected amount of time. Really starting to absolutely hate this objective!!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. It does work - if you follow the instructions EXACTLY. So things such as 100% morale for your horse before you start and 100% fertility/cleanliness for you meadow.

Many players are saying it doesn't work, but many more are saying it works brilliantly. The reason is simple - follow the instructions EXACTLY.

It's worked for us countless times!

  99. I was just wondering how do you know if it worked? I did it and I don't know how to tell. :?

    ReplyDelete
  100. @Bib

You go to your horse's GP before and see what is is. Let's say it's GP was 650.00 before games. After games you would go back to it's GP and if it says 651.20, it will have "worked" on your horse.

    ReplyDelete
  101. doesn't work too well on my shagya arab ian, but it works. you just have to take 1 hour from the games off except when it's only 1/2 hours of play

your guide helps sooo much!!!! thnxs:)

    ReplyDelete
  102. Thank you ever so much! This really worked for me and I was able to complete an objective which I though was going to be impossible!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Thank you! I was finally able to complete objective no. 69 !!!
This works !!! And i even made a few mistakes, but still, it worked!
    THank you again.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Do you have to have a skill companion? Or can it be equus?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Did not work for me!

    ReplyDelete
  106. I am having trouble I followed all direction until it said 7 hours for 10 month olds and that would cost 130% energy why would it be so much if all they have is 100% in the first place?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Doing this on all my Shagyas. Soon I will have an army of gamed foundies ready to rock! >:D

    ReplyDelete
  108. I did this with my Gpsey Vanner and will be will all of the yearlings and newcomers.

    ReplyDelete
  109. This worked well on my foal. Only got 1.08 gp gain as I boarded before I found this and boarded my foal somewhere with no carrots so i couldn't play the games for quite as long to allow for that. So apart from me being silly, it worked perfectly :)

    ReplyDelete
  110. I wasted my aging points on this?? It's winter but I still had the right amount of games completed. I've been stuck on this objective just to see that none of the schedules I try, never work on my horses.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Yay! It worked!! Thanks so much...this schedule is the only one that has worked for me! :)

    ReplyDelete
  112. It worked perfectly fine! Thank you very much for working this out :D

    ReplyDelete

  116. thank you so much it works great!

  117. Thank you for having these foal games! :) I've been on Howrse for over a year now, and these are the only ones iv'e used for a long time! They work perfectly!

  118. All i can say is that it didnt work for me :( you can feed more then 10 pounds of fodder a day so how i was supposed to fee 14 i dont know! Probably why it didnt work... any way around this???

    ReplyDelete
  119. This didnt work for me the first time! Do you have to convert the pounds into Kg? Because you feed in Kg not pounds! :L

  120. y does my 7hrs need over 100 energy???

    ReplyDelete
  121. Do you need to convert the pounds into Kg bacause thats what you fee in. And How can you feed your foal 14 pounds when the maximum a day that you can feed a day is 10 pounds? Help please!! :(

    ReplyDelete
  122. apparently this does work...good! I have been looking for something that works, and I haven't found it. Let's hope this method works better than all the other ones I've tried. I'm going to still have a Pandora's box on hand.

  123. Thanks! I hope this worked! Objective 67 is so hard! 1 foal (hopefully) down and 1 to go! I am Pietastesgood on Howrse if anyone wants to PM me!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I did everything that this said, and then went to see if I fulfilled the objective, and it said that I hadn't. I had only used 23 hours of my day, and I was kinda frustrated that I had wasted all the time and aging points to try this. I made Gus, my pony, play for another hour. He has 19 energy, but I did it! I'm so happy! I'm catlovers on Howrse, just to let you know.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I can't do it, it says that it is going to take away over 100 energy when i get to the 7 hour games! What companion should i use?

    ReplyDelete
  126. It doesn't matter what companion you use. If your foal does not have enough energy to complete the seven hours of games, it means he did not have 100% morale. If you read the instructions carefully at the top it tells you how essential it is that your horse has 100% morale before you begin games.

  127. This is so frustrating! I spent tons of aging points getting a good filly, and, this has happened to me before, now matter what I do, Carrot, Turnip, great EC, blah blah blah the horse only has 83% morale upon waking up at eight months, so I have to try again! My aging points are going down the drain! Please help!

  128. What i always do is use a caloric mash

    ReplyDelete
  129. You can't give mashes to foals...?

    ReplyDelete
  130. I can't do 10 hours of play on the 1yr 6mnths! :/ my foal doesn't have enough energy and I tried it on two! Someone please help!

    ReplyDelete
  131. WOW! This helped me so much! I am on the UK Howrse as 66mc, International as Connie4ever
PM me and we can be friends :-) I use this on all my foals! I love it so much!

    ReplyDelete
  132. This works really well, I use it on all of my Nokotas and they all get the 1.2 GP gain. Thank you lots!

( PS On howrse I am on the international version add me I am called Cloudheart )

    ReplyDelete
  133. When I did this I followed directions every step but when I did it I got .3 fewer than needed

    ReplyDelete
  134. i am using this on my horse and it says it is too fat don't feed it anything do i still feed it the 4 pounds or do i feed it nothing

    ReplyDelete
  135. If you're still using this method you need to keep feeding what it tells you otherwise it won't work properly.

Once you've finished these games feed your horse nothing until the warning about him being too fat goes away.

  137. Hi! i'm on the international howrse under hmheather:)

this is just a quick tip i did with my horse to help with the energy and moral at 18 months.

If you put a Philotes' Stroke (p. stroke)on your foal you can stroke twice, alowing you to get 30 extra minuts of game time in at the end of the day. If you keep track of the GP and figure out the gain as of 16 months, before you start anything for the day, you will have more GP gain than without the P. Stroke. That way you can finish with full GP gain at 16 months by 22:00 instead of 24:00, witch will leave your horse with pleanty of energy and moral for the rides the next day :)

    example:

My horse , Don't Slow Me, started with 1505.45 GP. At the end of the day at 14 months she had 1506.4 GP. 1506.42 - 1505.45 = .97 GP gain at 14 months. then at 16 months i watch the GP close, folowing the schedule (i din't do the 3o min, meadow, instead i did drink), untill i got my full GP. gain. Witch left me with 1506.65 (1.2 GP Gain). This way your horse will be in perfect sape the next day :)

So hear is the altered schedule for 1.2 GP gain with a Philotes' Stroke.

    8 months
    Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/7 Hrs Games/Stroke x2 /Carrot/Water/30 min. games

    10 months
    Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/1 Hr Games/1.5 Hrs Pasture/7 Hrs Games/Stroke x2/Carrot/Water/30. min. games

    12 months
    Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/8 Hrs Games/Stroke x2/Carrot/Water/30 min. games

    1 year 2 months
    Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/9 Hrs Games/Stroke x2/Carrot/Water/Feed **Feed 2-3 pounds less than it recommends**/30 min. games

    1 year 4 months
    Groom/30 Minutes Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke x 2/Carrot/Water/30 min. games

    1 year 6 months
    Groom/Water/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 14 Pounds/10 Hr. Games/ 30 Min. Games/Stroke x1/Carrot

Notice that the last day you only stroke once and do 1 hr. less games and no 30. min games at the end.

This should work, as i used it this way on my horse and it worked good.

  138. never mind, i don't think they work (rrgg)

    ReplyDelete
  139. These things never work for me! No matter what I do! I always end up overfeeding the horses or making them loose morale. I just wanted to pass the Objective, that's all!

    ReplyDelete
  140. i have done this to 4 foals but it still hasn't completed my objective:/

    ReplyDelete
  141. would this work on the canadian howrse too?

    ReplyDelete
  142. I did this on my filly uni and she's been rewarded with a perfect 1.2 GP gain! This is really good, thanks for sharing.
    By the way, I'm creamswirli!

    ReplyDelete
  143. Thanks! This has helped me soooooo much!

    ReplyDelete
  144. does this work on the canadian version? I would like to use this method on my foals, but it always says that i cannot perform the action as my foal has to go to sleep...

    ReplyDelete
  145. It didn't work out for me, but i used it on a donkey, so maybe it's the diff? Thanks though!

    ReplyDelete
  146. I've been following this guide for my purebred Spanish horse but when I got to 1 year 2 months on this I read the part about you should be feeding it under what your supposed to but I've been ending up over feeding while following this guide. Should i keep following it?

on the last day It told me I couldn't feed my horse over 10kg of fodder but I just fed 9.5 and her energy was 100%. She was fine and it worked =D

    ReplyDelete
  148. THANKYOU SO MUCH! I've been searching for ages for a Foal Games that actually works! I got the objective Thankyou!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Did not work for me. My horse was underfed and therefore I could not finish the 10 hours of training you suggest.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Bit annoyed with howrse, because of the new energy that the fodder gives. Didn't get my horse to bed with 20% energy on the last day, so now at 1yr8mth she has 80%energy and 82%morale :(

    ReplyDelete
  151. what? what does any of that mean?

    ReplyDelete
  152. I'm saanderson on Howrse and this method is what I have been using and I really am getting results on my Arabs. I am trying to have really good Arabs in the game. Right now I am getting more into quality, not quantity, so I am selling almost all of my Arabs with less than 1500 GP, so if anyone wants some, feel free, they're probably going cheap for their quality and I used this method on them, as well as the other training methods that are on this website. Most of them are not fully trained and BLUPed, but I think one or two are.

I almost killed my horse after 1 yr 6 months

  156. I would like to say that you didn't fator in that at 1 year 6 months the horse grows up and you can no longer play games. Cause it doesn't work.

  157. They do state at the top of this post that since July 2012 these games no longer work. You need to read the post properly. Don't blame the writers if you can't read!

    ReplyDelete
  158. This did not help me at all :/

    ReplyDelete
  159. Well they won't - these are out of date, as it states at the top of the post. Follow the link to the new ones.
