Since the removal of the companions in July 2012, Howrse have made some further changes to foal games.
You can now play games with foals between the ages of 8 months and 1 year and 4 months. Your foal will earn an extra 60 skills for completing games correctly, rather than the 1.2 GP gain (they now get this automatically at birth).
Follow our all new foal games method below CAREFULLY and you will get the full 60 point skill gain for a foal of any breed.
Board your foal in an EC with carrots and 100% clean and fertile meadows. Ensure your foal is put to bed aged 6 months with 100% morale - this is very important! If it's below 10C you will need to put your foal to bed in the box each night.
8 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/1 Hr Games/1.5 Hrs Pasture/7 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water
10 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/8 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water
1 year
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/9 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water
1 year 2 months
Groom/30 Minutes Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water
1 year 4 months
Groom/2 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 14 Pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke/Water

Totally works!! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThen do you put it to bed?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't work for me, please PM me on howrse if you are registered, to tell me why, I am laura9.
ReplyDeleteworks great so far! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't always work as length of time often exceeds 100% energy?!
ReplyDeleteAt 1 year, 2 months, I do exactly what you say (I've done this multiple times), but I always get 19% energy, and if I do anything else, my foal won't get enough sleep. I think it may be a problem... Thanks, though; it works amazingly otherwise!!
ReplyDeletesometimes your foal says it has 19 energy but actually has 20. this happened to me yesterday, but when i aged it, it woke up without the "your foal is not in a good shape"message. its probably just a glitch
DeleteHI! What if you havge the cronos timer? is there anything different you need to do? - lizard13
ReplyDeleteNo is stil same
Deleteyeah same the games exceed 100% for me too
ReplyDeleteWorks great
ReplyDeleteworks very good for me. i always have 20-23% energy left after. make sure that the center you are boarded in, the pastures are impeccable. otherwise they will not have enough energy to be bedded down.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Worked perfectly.
ReplyDeleteIt didn't work for me! Please help! My name on U.S howrse is BrightStars
ReplyDeletemy horse doesn't ever have enough energy to do 10hour games BECAUSE THOSE GAMES AT 10 FLIPPING HOURS TAKE UP 105.3 ENERGY!!!! and i didn't even have 100% :P
ReplyDeleteI tried this and It didn't work properly I only got upto 9.80 on two of my horses and 8.80 on another but when I did it on a horse before these three it worked so I don't no what went wrong pm me I am Twilight-Panther
ReplyDeleteDo donkeys get the auto gp gain too or do they still lose with each generation?
ReplyDeleteI didn't work plz help me plz pm me
ReplyDeletemy user name is : gtstjt
works ok for me
ReplyDeleteim RearingStallion on us howrse
Works great for me, thanks!
ReplyDeleteFor everyone having problems, make sure you're boarding your horses at an equestrian center with IMPECCABLE meadows! Otherwise, your horse wont get as much energy.
Thanks, this worked fine for me!
ReplyDelete:)
it worked on my donkey but it made her fat
ReplyDeletemissy-man
ummm it didnt work on mine......
ReplyDeleteDidn't work for me...
ReplyDeleteWorked perfectly for me! Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks SO much! It worked perfectly!
ReplyDeleteALWAYS remember to feed your horse the right amount before aging. I failed because my horse was too skinny and then too fat.
ReplyDeleteThis and the Training guide are my Howrse bible! My foundation mare was Bulped and Bolded by the age of 10 years exactly! Fantastic. Add me : Cяosse∂
ReplyDeleteomg thanks it worked
ReplyDeleteThis has worked wonderfully well for me. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteDoes NOT work for Shetland ponies though. They get too fat, which is a problem I have always had with them.
You can not play with your horse for 7 hours it exceeds 100% energy
ReplyDeleteIt worked great! Thanks! I've been trying to finish that objective for weeks now!
ReplyDeleteDo a little trick if it's winter and the fertility is around 90%: feed 15 pounds instead of 14 on the last day.
ReplyDeleteKyokka on the International server

ReplyDeleteCluzzer
I had to use a black orchid once, but otherwise it worked perfectly!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhats a pasture? Is it the meadow?
ReplyDeleteWorks great!
ReplyDeleteTotaly worked plus i got over 60 skill points
ReplyDeleteWorks great
ReplyDeleteIt works fine, but if I only feed my horses 4 pounds plus what they get in the pasture, they get underweight.
ReplyDeleteYou need to look for somewhere with 100% fertility in the meadows then - sounds like that might be the problem and why your horse isn't getting enough to eat.
ReplyDeleteLucy
What if your foal has an achilles heel on it? Do you do anything different? My username on the international server is Victoria593 if you would like to PM me about this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, works really well!

ReplyDeleteIt worked grrrrreat!!
ReplyDeleteAW it didnt work!
ReplyDeleteFor the games can it be horses and ponies or there both seprit because don't ponies need less training instead of the same with the horses?
ReplyDeleteDarn did mistakes!
ReplyDeleteIt was working so far but when you said on 1 year 4 months that your foal had to eat 14 kg that did not work out the way I hoped it would.
ReplyDeletewhat if your foal dose'nt have enough energy???

ReplyDeleteI worked for the first time for my
ReplyDeleteI use this for all my foals and works perfectly on every breed (I breed skiller crossbreds)
ReplyDeleteon international server everything was great, on UK server you were telling me to give my horse way too much food. I couldn't even go up to 14 pounds, 10 was the highest. everything else worked great though :)

ReplyDeleteIf you need help, these games work perfectly for me I am on international server. My user name is mirkat999
ReplyDelete100% works to perfection! It does make them fat, but you can sort that out easily afterwards! Thanks so much, my UK Howrse name is Race Horse if anyone wants help, advice or just a friendly chat!
ReplyDeleteThis seems to only work on International server, which is what I'm on. Works perfectly for my Friesians :)
ReplyDeleteYup:) it worked on international!
ReplyDeletemy username is 5 Star Horses
If you want to see
If your horse doesn't go to bed with enough energy try feeding it how much it's supposed to eat; not how much this site says to. Just a hint :)
ReplyDeleteIf anyone needs help, i can give you help or i can do foal games and train your horses for you, we can duccuss a price we both agree on. My user is on internation it's
ReplyDeletehlaurenf0216
If the percentage for energy is more than 100%, then your horse doesn't have 100% moral because if your horse has 100% moral, then your actions require less energy!
ReplyDeleteWorks 100% well for me! Thanks!
Guys, you dont NEED to feed the Howrses what this says. I always feed them what they need and it works perfect! Hope this helps! :P
ReplyDeleteThis worked for my other horses, but not for the one I started with because it became too fat. I am superset lands on howrse
ReplyDeleteWorked superbly for my foals! Pay careful attention too *all* the steps, and out-take them slowly. 100% worth the time!
ReplyDeleteWolven, Howrse International
Some people who have commented have been very rude. The 'FLIPPING TAKES 105 ENERGY!' was outrageous. She has taken the time to write this for us, and all you can do is shout at her? I have used this method many times, and it always works, and I am very grateful. It is only 90% energy if you did it correctly, rude person. Show some gratitude! Thank you very much, it works perfectly, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteRace Howrse (UK and International) xxxx
I think its killing my horse! Pour Markus! :'( he my favorite!
ReplyDeleteGrr.

ReplyDeleteI will try it and see how it works
ReplyDeleteWHAT IF YOUR HORSE NEEDS TO EAT MORE THAN THAT???
ReplyDeleteThis works great! Thanks. And for the person above me, it still works and your horse shouldn't die if you have all the requirements!
ReplyDelete♥~

Always Works for Me! Add Me: ThatTransDude
ReplyDeleteI have used this many times on many horses(: it works so well, but it does NOT work for my quarter horses? They have elite genetic rankings? Is anybody else having the same problems?
ReplyDeleteDidn't work that well for my gypsy vanner foal at the end of the 8 months i gave him a p stroke because I had to stroke him twice in order to do 8 hours then after I completed the day I had to give him the orchid from the black market because he only had 8% of energy
ReplyDeletePlease tell me if I did that wrong although 1 year worked smoothly I'm sallyo02 on international howrse
How many skill points should be added to a howrse after this training?
ReplyDeleteWe need a new foal training schedule for the September 2014 update now :'(
ReplyDeleteWorked before, but now the updates have come out and they have replaced turnip with mash! Plus foals can't eat the mash....
ReplyDeleteI’m sorry that happened to your horse Anoymous.
ReplyDeleteHowrse very resently got rid of the turnips Is there another way to do It? I'm Firefly:) on the international server
ReplyDeleteHas the new version gotten rid of the pasture option? It's been a while since I played this.
