All new Howrse foal games July 2012

Since the removal of the companions in July 2012, Howrse have made some further changes to foal games.

You can now play games with foals between the ages of 8 months and 1 year and 4 months. Your foal will earn an extra 60 skills for completing games correctly, rather than the 1.2 GP gain (they now get this automatically at birth).

Follow our all new foal games method below CAREFULLY and you will get the full 60 point skill gain for a foal of any breed.

Board your foal in an EC with carrots and 100% clean and fertile meadows. Ensure your foal is put to bed aged 6 months with 100% morale - this is very important! If it's below 10C you will need to put your foal to bed in the box each night.

8 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/1 Hr Games/1.5 Hrs Pasture/7 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

10 months
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/8 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

1 year
Groom/1 Hr Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 Pounds/9 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

1 year 2 months
Groom/30 Minutes Pasture/1 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 4 pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke/Carrot/Water

1 year 4 months
Groom/2 Hr Games/Turnip/Feed 14 Pounds/10 Hrs Games/Stroke/Water

  5. Doesn't always work as length of time often exceeds 100% energy?!

    ReplyDelete
  6. At 1 year, 2 months, I do exactly what you say (I've done this multiple times), but I always get 19% energy, and if I do anything else, my foal won't get enough sleep. I think it may be a problem... Thanks, though; it works amazingly otherwise!!

    1. sometimes your foal says it has 19 energy but actually has 20. this happened to me yesterday, but when i aged it, it woke up without the "your foal is not in a good shape"message. its probably just a glitch

  9. works very good for me. i always have 20-23% energy left after. make sure that the center you are boarded in, the pastures are impeccable. otherwise they will not have enough energy to be bedded down.

  17. Works great for me, thanks!
For everyone having problems, make sure you're boarding your horses at an equestrian center with IMPECCABLE meadows! Otherwise, your horse wont get as much energy.

  18. Thanks, this worked fine for me!

  23. Thanks SO much! It worked perfectly!

  24. ALWAYS remember to feed your horse the right amount before aging. I failed because my horse was too skinny and then too fat.

  27. This has worked wonderfully well for me. Thank you!
Does NOT work for Shetland ponies though. They get too fat, which is a problem I have always had with them.

    ReplyDelete
  28. You can not play with your horse for 7 hours it exceeds 100% energy

    ReplyDelete
  29. It worked great! Thanks! I've been trying to finish that objective for weeks now!

  30. Do a little trick if it's winter and the fertility is around 90%: feed 15 pounds instead of 14 on the last day.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Whats a pasture? Is it the meadow?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Totaly worked plus i got over 60 skill points

    ReplyDelete
  43. It works fine, but if I only feed my horses 4 pounds plus what they get in the pasture, they get underweight.

    ReplyDelete
  44. You need to look for somewhere with 100% fertility in the meadows then - sounds like that might be the problem and why your horse isn't getting enough to eat.

  98. If the percentage for energy is more than 100%, then your horse doesn't have 100% moral because if your horse has 100% moral, then your actions require less energy!
Works 100% well for me! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Guys, you dont NEED to feed the Howrses what this says. I always feed them what they need and it works perfect! Hope this helps! :P

    ReplyDelete
  100. This worked for my other horses, but not for the one I started with because it became too fat. I am superset lands on howrse

    ReplyDelete
  101. Worked superbly for my foals! Pay careful attention too *all* the steps, and out-take them slowly. 100% worth the time!

    Wolven, Howrse International

    ReplyDelete
  102. Some people who have commented have been very rude. The 'FLIPPING TAKES 105 ENERGY!' was outrageous. She has taken the time to write this for us, and all you can do is shout at her? I have used this method many times, and it always works, and I am very grateful. It is only 90% energy if you did it correctly, rude person. Show some gratitude! Thank you very much, it works perfectly, Lucy!

  110. WHAT IF YOUR HORSE NEEDS TO EAT MORE THAN THAT???

    ReplyDelete
  111. This works great! Thanks. And for the person above me, it still works and your horse shouldn't die if you have all the requirements!

  114. Didn't work that well for my gypsy vanner foal at the end of the 8 months i gave him a p stroke because I had to stroke him twice in order to do 8 hours then after I completed the day I had to give him the orchid from the black market because he only had 8% of energy
Please tell me if I did that wrong although 1 year worked smoothly I'm sallyo02 on international howrse

    ReplyDelete
  116. We need a new foal training schedule for the September 2014 update now :'(

    ReplyDelete
  117. Worked before, but now the updates have come out and they have replaced turnip with mash! Plus foals can't eat the mash....

    ReplyDelete
  118. I’m sorry that happened to your horse Anoymous.
