As its Halloween next week, Howrse are providing us with lots of contests to celebrate. They've bought back the popular Magic Potions, this time with a Halloween theme.Until 7th November at noon Game Time you can make Magic Potions and win yourself some great gifts. Each potion requires you to collect the right ingredients to make it and win yourself the gift. For example, you need to collect and make a potion with 2 x Phoenix's Tears to win yourself 1000e. You can make a maximum of 3 potions a day.
The top prize is a gemstone Divine - either a Ruby, Sapphire, Jade, Emerald or Amethyst. To win one of these horses you need 5 pegasus feathers, 15 horseshoes (found in HoPs) and 15 ingredients of your choice (all the same). You also need to have made 30 other potions before you can unlock this gift.
You can collect ingredients in the following ways:

 | Remove the feathers off your Pegasuses |
 | Collect the Halo by using a Pandora's Box |
 | Find the Horseshoe in the Horns of Plenty |

ReplyDeleteI can see that there will be many angry people who don't by passes this comp as you can only get the Horseshoe by buying a HoP. I think that they set up the candy fight to take there minds off it. Oh, I have noticed a considerable drop in comments on these later posts.
You receive certain items for each way you can win ingredients. For example playing with your horses will only give you phoenix's tears and griffin's claws. How do you get kobold's bogeys other than in the flash sales?

ReplyDelete@ Anonymous, somehow I ended up with seven Kobold's Bogeys. No idea! And I don't really even need them, have gotten everything I wanted just waiting for a divine. What I think is weird, is that I usually will have one horse win all the comp win potion items - and they are always all the same one, on that day, for that horse.
ReplyDeleteI find that flash sales to be very.. very ineffective if you dont have like TONS of equus.. I find it to be a waste of money. But anyway I got the Bewitched Pumpkin and I am literally unable to buy passes.. So it is possible just need to do a lot of selling and trading and my friend got a hop in the candy fight and threw the copy at me.. And i got lucky a Ghost!! yay!!
